Toyota Motor Corporation abbreviated TMC, is a multinational automaker headquartered in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. In 2010, Toyota employed 317,734 people worldwide, and was the world’s largest automobile manufacturer by production. Toyota was specialized in making cars, but now also forms a leading pioneer in bus, trucks, robot manufacturer, truck, auto and financial service providers. The company was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937 as a spinoff from his father’s company Toyota Industries to create automobiles.

The Toyota logo is a simple like other car logos derived from a Japanese word meaning ‘eight’ which was thought of as bringing luck and success which the company’s journey cannot be denied.  The use of the overlapping ovals is a reflection of the company’s commitment to its customers and a pledge of reliability and satisfaction.

Getting into details, the Toyota logo comprises of horizontally stretched elongated ellipses. The stretched ovals are portrayed in red or metallic colors with a white background depending on the purpose.
